Oxide Metal is a real metal in paste form. It’s applied using a brush, roller, or trowel and then oxidized with an activator for a highly textured finish that resembles weathered metal.
The Iron version appears as dark grey and turns rusty red when oxidized, while the Copper version has a browny red hue that turns verdigris green after oxidization.
The oxidizing accelerator can be used with various tools for a range of textures and effects.
This material has the advantage of being able to be applied to various vertical surfaces, including decorative objects made of pottery, plastic, wood, or metal (after treating them with a strong adhesion primer like Stucco Italiano’s Primer Q).
